Message This pressure drop increases the feeling of lag. The larger the internal area of the intercooler, as well as fin design both can affect pressure drop. Obviously, the bigger you go, the more pressure is dropped. A dense fin layout will increase heat transfer to the ambient air, but it will also cause an increased pressure drop. There's tradeoffs to everything.
